Russia’s Decisive Move on Olympic Wrestling Participation
Russia announced it will soon decide on the participation of its wrestlers in the Paris Olympics.
According to Tasnim News Agency, citing Sport Express, Mikhail Mamiashvili, President of the Russian Wrestling Federation, said, “Nothing is final yet. Qualifying for the Olympics and participating are two different things. A final decision will be made in the coming days.”
The Paris Olympics are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. In December 2023, the International Olympic Committee allowed Russian athletes to compete under neutral status, provided they meet all eligibility criteria
